Nneka Okala

My name is Nneka Okala. I am a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park, and a certified Montessori educator trained at the renowned St. Nicholas Training Centre. With over 25 years of experience in Montessori education, including 20 years as the owner and operator of a Montessori school, I have dedicated my career to fostering environments that inspire independence, creativity, and personal growth. As a mother of two, I am deeply committed to providing care and connection across generations. Drawing from my Montessori background, I am passionate about adapting these principles to support adults with dementia. By creating structured, engaging, and respectful environments, I aim to help individuals with cognitive decline maintain their dignity, autonomy, and joy in everyday living. My life’s work is rooted in a profound dedication to empowering others be it children, the elderly, or their caregiver and ensuring meaningful, lasting impacts through compassionate and innovative approaches to care.
